COTA for Cason
The golf tournament was great fun and raised a lot of money for Cason’s transplant.
Please continue to pray for/support this wonderful family!
Being Mom…
The parents needed to get away for a few days, so I am getting to practice my recent degree of business management first hand with some good ‘ole ‘household’ managing.
There has only been a small number of mishaps: the youngest got left at school with no ride, #5 clogs/overflows the community toilet, the dog runs away to the neighbor’s house, the air conditioner doesn’t work causing irregular sleeping patterns/excessive sweat. And tonight, while draining the grease from the taco meat, it spills on my favorite pair of pants.
Did I mention that each of the boys is hungry for dinner at a different time? #6 likes to eat late, dinner is never early enough for #5, and #4 usually has a friend or two- so we are licking the plates clean around here!
MS, DH, and anyone else, do you moms/sitters remember some good mishaps?
Babies and libraries and snakes, oh my!
Celebrated Kayleigh Lane’s one week birthday this morning at 8:30am! The proud parents: Brett and Jenna.
They live in an area that was a base in WWII. At the bottom of the hill there is a row of hangers that stored planes then. They have converted one into a YMCA, one into some stores, and the others have been repainted and redone to be used by the Coast Guard. So, I found this park and a gravel road off to the left that I decided to keep jogging down. I got to a place that was just above a dam and then…..I saw a 4 foot snake going across the gravel right in front of me! Naturally, I turned around and starting sprinting back towards the hangers (this was the fastest speed I had run all morning). I turned back for one last glance just in time to see another runner almost step on the snake and freak out too. It was an exhilarating run to say the least.
It was really neat exploring an area that has so much history. I feel a strong sense of pride for families of the military.
Now we are here:
After eating this:
As we go on…
