Rachel moved!
As you may know, Rachel is in China. And for some unbeknownst reason, she is unable to access her wordpress blog. To continue to read about her updates, please visit her new blog at ….http://iamthird2.blogspot.com/.
Thanks and have a great day.
Tomorrow is a big day.
The new iphone…and COW APPRECIATION DAY. Go dressed as a cow to a Chick-fil-A store and get a free meal! Some of us (who are in China) won’t taste that yummy chicken for a while. Pics from last summer:
1st leg
Today was similar to when I left for China 4 years ago. Dad was in his work clothes, and we circled up to pray before I left. I packed in the same red luggage. I am thankful, however that this time I am much more calm. I did not get strip searched or have to rush to any planes. Everything went smoothly. Instead of going through San Francisco, I took a flight out of Atlanta on Korean Air to Seoul, South Korea. This flight took 14 hours. I am in the Seoul Airport awaiting the flight to Beijing. Here is what I rode on to get here:
johnny cupcakes
we wandered in to a store off Newberry Street in Boston called Johnny Cupcakes. They did not however have any baked goods. It was a super cool t-shirt shop! We ran into Johnny himself and ended up talking about/hearing his great business practices as well as the moral choices he has made in keeping his body pure. Here is a dude that is 26 years old that has created quality products and is opening another store in LA (Melrose) this August. He doesn’t cut corners in his business or his personal life. It was a neat experience to share and encourage each other. Here is what Johnny Cupcakes had to say about it:
“Over the weekend while working in Boston at my shop, I was about to take my 6th run to put morequarters in my parking meter. Right before I was going to leave, this kid and his friend come up to me and ask, “Why don’t you drink or do drugs?” – After explaining my personal and business morals, it had been far past my meter time and I know I got a ticket. I didn’t care though. I chose to sit and chat with these two lovely people for over an hour. I was excited because they were excited to listen to me. They also shared nearly same morals as me. It was very nice and refreshing speaking with these two kind hearted folks from Georgia. Taking time out of my super-hectic day (and getting a parking ticket) was absolutely worth every second of it. Thank you Jimmy and Rachel, it was a pleasure conversating with you. OH YEAH! Another interesting thing that they brought to my attention is that they met each other at a Chick-fil-A opening after waiting all day in line. I hope all of you Johnny Cupcaker’s meet many many friends at all of my releases/grand opening(s)! I know most of you already have, and that makes me happy. High-five for being drug, alcohol + booty shaking nast-nast dance club-free! Meeting people who aren’t brainwashed by alcohol companies and the weaker parts of American culture, is a rarity.

Check the stuff out and support the good businessman. I got the gray Boston Skyline shirt.
Personal Space
My cousin posted this not too long ago, but it is too good not to take a look and a laugh at again. I am preparing myself for similar situations with my upcoming trip (tomorrow)! Check it out…
water, water everywhere
I have some adventurous friends! Jason is in Roatan, Honduras working as a scuba instructor this summer. Here are some pics he sent me today:
Also, while I was in Boston, Ben showed me some work by this photographer, Zak Noyle who gets up close to the waves and surfers! You’ve gotta check some of these photos out. Click on the Gallery and look around.
As far as the scuba pictures go…would you ever get this close to sharks?
the creator of the ’secret formula’
I am trying to learn as much about Coke as possible. A few weekends ago when I was in Columbus I got to tour through Dr. Pemberton’s (the pharmacist who created Coca-Cola’s ’secret formula’) home. Then I went searching for where he was buried…
